छात्रावास के सभी छात्रों को सिक्किम पर्यटन और सिक्किम के अंतर्गत आने वाले सभी पर्यटन स्थल की जानकारी दी गई।भारत सरकार ने सिक्किम को पर्यटन के क्षेत्र में बढ़ावा देने के लिए विभिन्न योजनाएं शुरू की हैं,जिसमे स्थानीय समृद्धि,सांस्कृतिक विकास,और पर्यावरण संरक्षण शामिल है।इस पद्दोन्नति के अंतर्गत छात्रों को चलचित्र के माध्यम से सिक्किम के प्रमुख पर्यटन स्थल जैसे (गंगटोक,नाथुलापास,रूमतेक,बाबा हरभजन सिंह के मंदिर)से अवगत कराया गया।

Institute Of Hotel Management Catering Technology And Applied Nutrition, Kolkata has organized the largest food festival in Eastern India named Gourmet Nite 2024. The evening started with the special Ganesh Vandana , praying to the lord Ganesh for the successful completion of the event in traditional Bharatnatyam style, a popular dance form of Tamil Nadu. Along with the gourmet part, a lot of other activities like dance and songs were also organized.
The main attraction of the event includes the cultural songs from Rajasthan, Gujrat , Goa and West Bengal.
A group of 15 Chhau performers were invited to the institute in association with the India Tourism Office Kolkata from Purulia . They have portrayed the local folklore dance of Chhau depicting “Mahisasur mardini” the famous mythological event of “Lord Durga killing the demon king Mahisasur , which shows the onset of Vijaya Dashmi “.
The event was graced by the Honourable Regional Director of East India Tourism Regional Office, Dr. Sagnik Chowdhury, who thoroughly appreciated the entire program. Honorable Principal Sir Mr Raja Sadhukhan thanked all for their participation and efforts in making the day very special for all.
The students released a booklet providing information about the culture, civilization, lifestyle, food, dance art, and life skills of Manipur.

This report delves into the vibrant tapestry of Jammu and Kashmir, exploring the diverse people and rich lifestyle that define this region. Jammu and Kashmir, often dubbed the "Crown of India," is home to a kaleidoscope of ethnicities and cultures, each contributing to the unique identity of this picturesque state. Primarily, the Jammu region is populated by Hindus while the Kashmir Valley is known for its high Muslim population. One can also spot a little variety of Sikh presence here.
The Dean of Management, Dr. M. K. Shakila's expertise, coupled with the interactive format, created a platform for knowledge sharing, cultural immersion that led to breaking down stereotype thinking. Koshur language is an important part of the culture of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Both Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmiri Pandits speak this language. It is acknowledged as an Indo- Aryan language and it’s known for its beauty and accent. This session took us to a tour to Jammu and Kashmir, where, the listeners were enchanted not only with the beauty of the land but also with varied other information and data like cultural diversity and artistic legacy.

The Resource Person Started with a brief introduction and history about Jammu and Kashmir. He
also mentioned about the various rulers of Jammu and Kashmir from Kashyapa rishi to Dogra
rulers before India got its independence. He narrated the whole situation about the integration of
states at the time of partition and also highlighted the Instrument of Accession signed by the king
Hari Singh of Jammu and Kashmir and the special status given to them under article 370. He gave
an elaborated description about Article 370 and its six special provisions for Jammu and Kashmir.

Session aimed to promote the Arunachal Pradesh's Foundation Day which holds significant importance. Arunachal Pradesh became full-fledged state of the Indian Union on 20th February 1987, following the enactment of the 55th Amendment Act of the Constitution of India. Prior to this, it was known as the North-East Frontier Agency and was administered as a Union Territory. Speaker also shared many interesting facts about history of this beautiful state. Through meaningful interactions and exchange of ideas, the session reaffirmed the spirit of EBSB. Students were participated in discussion. Session was very interactive and meaningful.
