This year the National Unity Day 2022 celebration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 147th birth anniversary was celebrated at Ekta Nagar, Statue of Unity
Inter School Band Competition 2022
Our country India is the country, with the most youth power in the world. In this country in this country of unity in diversity, the spirit of patriotism, unity and integrity has been properly communicated to the youth of the country, combining their power and strength in the work of national security and nation-building with the noble purpose and value of making India stronger and stronger, a unique one that further strengthens the spirit of patriotism in the youth of our country. The program- Inter School Band Competition was started by MHRD New Delhi in the year 2018, these competitions are being held in every state of the country.
In the state of Gujarat, this program has been organized by Police Force- Home Department and Education Department Gujarat for the last two years Inter School Band Competition 2022 program for boys and girls studying in classes 9 to 12. District-level inter-school band competition is organized in every district of the state, the first- and second-best performing boy and girl teams in the district have to perform the school band performance at the zone level. This year in Gujarat, this competition was held in four zones: Aravalli-Modasa, Rajkot, Vadodara and Surat. Under which a total of 528 children participated in 24 teams. First and second runner-up in the zone level competition, the boys and girl teams were selected for the state level competition, district and zone level inter-school band competition completed by Wednesday 19/10/2022.
Zone level winning teams were present on Friday 21/10/2022 at Naveen Police Ground, Police Headquarters, Shahibag Ahmedabad, for the State Level Inter School Band Competition 2022 program, 3 teams of boys and 3 teams of girls, total 6 were present in this competition. The teams demonstrated their skills and artistry in front of the high-ranking police officers present. Secretary Samagra Shiksha Gujarat and other officials were present and a large audience had gathered to cheer the teams.
The State Level Inter School Band Competition 2022 program was inaugurated by Mr. Mahesh Mehta, Secretary, State Project Office, Gujarat along with senior officials of the Home Department, Gujarat, and started the competitions. The motivational address of the program was delivered by Secretary Samagra Shiksha, Gujarat, in his speech he informed the audience about the importance of these competitions and some important schemes of the Education Department. 1 boy and 1 girl team performing best performing team was selected for Ekta Parade in celebration of National Unity Day on 31st October 2022 by a judging/jury team of band expert officers of the Police Department after evaluating each team based on competition norms during the demonstration,
It also guided the team that secured second and third numbers for better performance the next time. On completion Hon. Shri Vikas Sahay (I.G.P. GUJARAT) and the dignitaries present awarded the first, second and third place winning teams with an attractive trophy to the Team and give a certificate of encouragement to each competitor of the team and then the closing celebration was celebrated with a spectacular sky display of variant firecrackers.

National Unity Day 2022
National Unity Day is celebrated every year on 31st October to commemorate the birth anniversary of India's first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. National Unity Day was started by the Government of India in 2014 to pay tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary for his extraordinary work to keep India united. Celebrating the first National Unity Day in New Delhi in 2014 with the launch of the 'Run for Unity' program was made by Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.
National Unity Day is to maintain the unity, integrity and security of our country and strengthen the inner strength of the nation and inculcate the spirit of unity and patriotism among the citizens and spread awareness about the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Indian history. In honor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Government of India, Kevadia, Dist. Gujarat. Narmada built the world's tallest statue in front of the Narmada River Sardar Sarovar Dam and unveiled the 'Statue of Unity to mark the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel as a symbol of the strength of unity.
This year the National Unity Day 2022 celebration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 147th birth anniversary was celebrated at Ekta Nagar, Statue of Unity, in which the state-level best performer Shri Shakti Seva Kendra Ambaji, District Banaskantha boys team and Shree Swaminarayan Kanya Vidyamandir, Bhuj, District Kutch girls team to participate in the National Unity Parade to be held for 31st October “National Unity Day” at Statue of Unity, Ekta Nagar, Garudeshwar, District Dated at Narmada. 26/10/2022 Arrived on time on Wednesday, Both the teams were present at the Ekta Nagar parade ground at the allotted time, practicing under the guidance of the band expert police officers present there. Arrangements for lodging and accommodation for both teams were made by the local police. For the necessary arrangements and other coordination for the teams the state-level officers Shri Jashubhai Parmar and Shri Bharatsinh Vaghela from State Project Office, Gandhinagar, Samagra Shiksha, Gujarat, Education Department Gujarat present with children at Ekta Nagar from 29/10/2022 Saturday.
Celebration of “National Unity Day 2022” on 31/10/2022 on Monday at Statue of Unity, Ekta Nagar in the special presence of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, in the presence of various senior officers of the State Home Department, various officers of other departments, employees and a large crowd, Ekta Day celebrations were started with flag hoisting by BSF Women's Wing. Along with this program, the unity pledge was taken by the Hon'ble Prime Minister regarding today's National Unity Day celebration aimed at the entire country, this pledge was taken by everyone present at the event and by people at various venues across the country.
In his motivational speech, the Prime Minister said that today, when fraternal programs are being organized in many places to show national unity and pay homage to Sardar Patel, today the entire country seems to be entwined in the form of national unity.
A unique example of the unity of the country was seen today when the distinctive flags of the police of different states, which are an important pillar of the unity of the country, participated in the parade together at the same place at Ekta Nagar today while proceeding to the unity parade. First of all, a parade was held by these flag bearers in front of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, followed by a parade of police forces selected for Ekta Parade 2022 from different 5 zone states of the country along with their band, a parade of NCC young men and women from the border states of the country, medal-winning police officers in the Commonwealth held in Birmingham. , training of Indian breed dogs from various states and demonstration by the training institute for the security of the country, demonstration of various fighting skills by the CISF women's force and parade display of the Gujarat women's police force was held.
Best Performer in State Inter School Band Competition Shri Swaminarayan Kanya Vidyamandir, Bhuj, Distt. Kutch Kanya Team and Shri Shakti Seva Kendra Ambaji, Dist. An amazing band parade was demonstrated by the Banaskantha Kumar team. Observing the talent, passion and rhythm of the music of these little children, the survey officers present in the program, the audience and even the Honourable Prime Minister himself could not stop clapping his hands and he mentioned this fact in his motivational speech as well. This gave the important self-strength encouragement to the children, the Hon'ble Prime Minister of the country gave in public, and the Indian Surya Kiran Aerobatic 9 aircraft team enthralled everyone present with various stunts. Recording speech of iron man Shri Vallabhbhai Patel whose birth anniversary is being celebrated on National Unity Day followed by a motivational address by Shri Narendrabhai Modi. He encouraged the survey by mentioning the Run for Unity and the importance of unity in schools being held across the country today. After completing the speech, the Prime Minister took a photo session and departed from the program. The entire management of this year's parade was headed by BSF officers and the jawans held a photo session with the children of various police forces and school bands present in the program and wished each other on today's National Unity Day.
Both teams of school band children were dispatched to their home districts after lunch and a visit to the Statue of Unity. All the children will remember this experience for the rest of their lives and the sweet memory will remain forever with the hope that the flame of brotherhood and patriotism in them will become a new beacon for society in the future.

As a part of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat initiative, the Institute organized an extempore competition on the state of Sikkim, during the month of October, 2022.
Topics were allotted to students on the basis of random selection, upon by selecting a chit from a fish bowl. Students were given 2 minutes of preparation of time, and 2 minutes to deliver their content. An assortment of topics was covered in the students’ speeches, such as cuisine, climate, silk route, tourism hotspots, festivals, and biodiversity. The students were judged by a panel of faculty members. The event enjoyed healthy participation both in terms of participants as well as attendees, and helped to spread the awareness of Sikkim as an emerging tourism hotspot. The event was organized by both languages in hindi & English.

The students came up with beautiful write up on these cuisines focusing on various ingredients used, method of cooking, principle religious belief, delicacies prepared during festive and so on. The participants also mentioned about the USP of both cuisines such as Chittikichatni, Laalbhaji, Undhiyu, etc.
This was a fruitful event with student learned more about the cuisine journey of both states. Such activities will give the young students an opportunity to know more about the diversity we have in our great country.
