A cultural awareness event was organized in the college auditorium under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.
More than a hundred students participated in the event. The session commenced with an introduction highlighting Sikkim’s significance as a tourist destination.
A promotional video was screened, offering a captivating glimpse of the state’s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant festivals, traditional cuisine, and popular tourist spots. The video effectively showcased Sikkim’s cultural richness, leaving students with a deeper appreciation of its heritage.
Following the screening, an interactive session was conducted to assess students’ understanding of the content.
In interactive session various aspects of Sikkim’s history, culture, and tourist attractions were revised and quizzed. Students actively engaged in the quiz, demonstrating enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
The participants answering in the quiz were recognized for their knowledge and were rewarded with prizes as a token of appreciation.
The event successfully enriched the students’ knowledge about Sikkim and encouraged them to explore its cultural diversity.
It also served as a platform to foster a sense of unity and understanding, aligning with the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. By celebrating India’s cultural diversity, the event inspired students to value and respect the unique heritage of different regions across the country.

On the occasion of Diwali Hostel students assembled in the lawn in their respective cultural dress. They lit the lanterns with message of unity- to stand together.

IHM Shillong organized an activity on Painting on the three UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Uttar Pradesh – Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort and the students of 01st Semester of One and Half Year Craftsmanship Certificate Course In Food Production & Patisseries participated in the activity in IHM Campus.
The students have shown keen interest to make this activity successful on 10.10.2024.
All students were awarded with participation certification

एक भारत श्रेष्ट भारत के अंतर्गत 14 फरवरी, 2025 को संस्थान में बी.एस.सी प्रथम वर्ष एवं डिप्लोमा एफ & बी सर्विस के विधयार्थियों के लिए सिक्किमी व्यंजनों पर एक मेनू डिजाइनिंग प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गई थी।
मेनू डिजाइनिंग प्रतियोगिता में 17 विधयार्थियों ने भाग लिया। प्रथम तीन स्थान प्राप्त करने वाले 8 विजेताओं को ई-प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान किए गए। विजेता निम्नानुसार है :
