Rabindranath Tagore popularly known as “Kabiguru” has played a pivotal role in The Bengal Renaissance movement. He was the first Indian to receive the prestigious Nobel prize in 1913, for his work of Gitanjali. To celebrate the 163rd birthday anniversary of this great novelist, philosopher and writer, I.H.M Kolkata has organised a cultural evening on 08/05/2024 filled up with recitation, solo song performances, instrumental shows and a group song to pay tribute and homage to Kabiguru. The faculty members along with the administrative staffs of I.H.M Kolkata took active participation in this event.

As a part of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat initiative, the Institute of Hotel Management Pusa New Delhi hosted Itinerary making Competition based on the mesmerizing state of Sikkim, during the month of May, 2024.
The itinerary making competition conducted under the EBSB program was a wonderful activity as this has broadened the knowledge about Sikkim to the student. Itinerary is a marketing tool now-a days that helps in promoting a tourist place. Hence keeping this in mind a competition was planned to be conducted among the B.Sc. HHA & Diploma students of the institute. This competition has encouraged students about tourism in this region too which has been neglected for years.
This was an online event where the students had to prepare an itinerary in hard or soft copy from New Delhi to Sikkim which would be a 3 day and 2-night trip. The competition was open from 1st May2024 till 22 May 2024. The activity enjoyed healthy participation among the students of IHM PUSA.

Institute Of Hotel Management Catering Technology And Applied Nutrition, Kolkata has organized a theme lunch food festival based on the Parsi New Year festival of Nowruz. The event was organized by the third-year students, where they arranged for a delectable lunch for the teachers and other administrative members of the institute.
The training restaurant of the college named Vividh was decorated by the students in Parsi theme, and many activities like tarot reading sessions along with traditional Prasi welcome dance was performed.

Institute Of Hotel Management Catering Technology And Applied Nutrition , Kolkata has organised a theme lunch food festival based on the forth coming festival of Holi and Vasantotsav. The event was organised by the third year students where they arranged for a delectable lunch for the teachers and other administrative members of the institute.
The training restaurant of the college named Vividh was decorated by the students in Holi theme , the lunch was accompanied by folk musical performance .

The event was graced by Honourable Regional Director West and Central India Tourism Regional Office, Dr. Sagnik Chowdhury, who thoroughly appreciated the entire program. Honourable Principal Sir Mr Raja Sadhukhan thanked all for their participation and efforts for making the day very special for all.

Continuing the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat streak of events, a display of documentary on festivals and culture of Sikkim was organized by the Institute, on 27th February, 2024.
The event took place in the college with showcasing of documentary on festivals and culture of Sikkim, where more than 50 students attended the session. Increasing cultural as well as diverse festival sensitization about Sikkim, and promoting it as an emerging tourism destination was the primary objective of the session. Documentary aimed at the cultural diversity, the festivals, and many other factors. The session was learning as well as fascinating psychological trip for students to the land called “Small and Beautiful” - Sikkim. The activity invited healthy participation from the faculty and student body.
