NITIE, Mumbai, observed National Engineer’s Day. Under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, the EBSB Club organized a Quiz competition which was held online on September 30, 2022, in continuation of its focus on the National Engineer’s Day, to create awareness of the contributions of indigenous culture and technologies and engineering stalwarts in India. The quiz attracted around 91 Responses collectively from NITIE Mumbai (61) and IIT BHUBANESWAR (30). The programme brought alignment opportunities for the students of the two states i.e. Maharashtra and Odisha. The Quiz spread knowledge about great Indian talents such as M. Visvesaraya, Narayanamurthy, women engineers, engineering marvels in India, etc. As the students at the institutes are all engineers, they were very appreciative of the knowledge gained regarding India’s contributions to the economy through its engineering talents and the advancement of scientific thought processes in the culture of India.

This competition was done house wise at the school level.The cadets performed regional dance which belongs to Odisha state. Cadets were also interested to learn marathi dance form.

(a) SSG conducted the Art & Painting competition on the topic Folk dances and traditional dresses of Partner state (Chittorgarh Rajasthan) under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) on 30 Sep 2022. A total 15 cadets of class VI participated in the competition. (b) A total 30 minutes instrumental music played on folk songs of respective partner states by cadets from class VI to VII under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) on 29 Sep 2022 . A total 06 cadets were performed in the event.

Under the flagship programme of Government of India ˜Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Sainik School Gopalganj conducted a ˜Haryanvi; Folk Song, singing competition on 29 Sep 2022 wherein a total of 60 cadets from classes VI to XI participated very actively and sang a variety of traditional and folk songs of Haryana State with the feel that touched the hearts of the spectators. These singers where accompanied by Mr Krishna Kumar, Music Teacher on Harmonium, Mr Shyam Kumar on table and Mr NK Sinha, TGT (Gen Sc) on Jhal. No doubt the cadets artist tied the knot in the gathering. Instrumental Music Playing Under the flagship programme of Government of India ˜Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat conducted a 30 minutes instrumental music playing of the folk/traditional songs of the partner state ˜Haryana on the evening 30 Sep 2022 in the Cadets Mess wherein a total of 40 cadets played the traditional musical instruments of Haryana like Harmonium, Chimta, Dholak, Manjeera, Khartal, Ghungroo and Thali. The team of the cadet artists played desi folk music of the partner state ie Haryana. The theme of the music was valour and bravery, harvest and happiness. The native (Desi) form of Haryanvi music was based on Raag Pilu played by the young genius in the direction of their music teacher kept the audience mesmerised. The cadets and staff members appreciated the beauty of the culture and music of Haryana and accepted that it adds to the ˜Unity in diversity of the country.

आज दिनांक 29 -9 -2022 को महाराजा बिजली पासी राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय, आशियाना ,लखनऊ में आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव ,मिशन शक्ति व एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में 'अ रिफलेक्शन गांधी एंड द इंडियन नेशनल मूवमेंट विषय' पर सारगर्भित व्याख्यान कराया गया जिसमें प्रोफेसर निशी पांडेय , लखनऊ विश्वविद्यालय से मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में उपस्थित रहीं । डॉक्टर निशी पाण्डेय ने अपने विद्वतापूर्ण व्याख्यान में भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डालते हुए गांधी जी के अवदानो पर विस्तृत रूप से प्रकाश डाला तथा उन्होंने बताया कि गांधी जी जैसा व्यक्तित्व ही था जिसने स्वतंत्रता संग्राम को एक नया आयाम,नई दिशा और सशक्त माध्यम प्रदान किया।उनके दृढ़ इरादों और नीतियों के कारण स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति संभव हो सकी। कार्यक्रम का आरंभ मुख्य अतिथि एवं महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्या प्रोफेसर सुमन गुप्ता के द्वारा मां सरस्वती की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण व दीप प्रज्वलन के द्वारा किया गया । इसी क्रम में महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्या द्वारा मुख्य वक्ता का वाचिक तथा पुष्प पौध देकर स्वागत किया गया।आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव व गांधी जयंती के आगमन के उपलक्ष्य में छात्र छात्राओं द्वारा स्वतंत्रता संग्राम विषयक यथा काकोरी ट्रेन एक्शन इत्यादि विषयक लघु नाटक प्रस्तुत किए गए ।उक्त अवसर पर डॉ0 सनोबर हैदर असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर इतिहास एवं डॉक्टर श्वेता मिश्र असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर अंग्रेजी के द्वारा आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव विषय पर संपादित पुस्तक का विमोचन मुख्य अतिथि प्रोफेसर निशी पाण्डेय और महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्या प्रोफेसर सुमन गुप्ता द्वारा किया गया। संपादित पुस्तक का विषय प्रवर्तन डॉक्टर सनोबर हैदर के द्वारा किया गया । उक्त अवसर पर मिशन शक्ति से संबंधित कार्यक्रमो की श्रृंखला प्रस्तुत करने वाली स्मारिका का विमोचन कार्य भी मुख्य अतिथि के कर कमलों द्वारा संपादित किया गया।कार्यक्रम के अंत में डॉक्टर सरिता सिंह असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर अंग्रेजी के द्वारा धन्यवाद ज्ञापन किया गया

As a part of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat initiative, the Institute showcased a wall graffiti on the mesmerizing state of Sikkim, during the month of September, 2022. This was an offline event conducted in the college premises on the 29th of September. It was a group event. Students formed groups of 2-3, and sketched out their pieces on sheets that highlighted various aspects of Sikkim’s tourism. Different facets of Sikkim that were emphasized during the competition included cuisine, the tea culture, festivals, geographic locations etc. The entries were then judged by a panel of faculty members. The event enjoyed healthy participation from the student body, and helped to enhance their knowledge regarding the rich culture and tourism of Sikkim.

Different types of cultural competitions/ activities organised in our school on dated 28th and 29th September. Out cadets were highly inspired while performing the partner State programs like dance music etc. Which is developing a good relationship between state Odisha and Maharashtra. Odissi music is a genre of classical music in India, originated from the eastern state of Odisha. The traditional ritual music for the service of Lord Jagannatha, Odissi music has a history spanning over two thousand years, authentic sangita-shastras or treatises, unique Ragas & Talas and a distinctive style of rendition. Maharashtra is a state of India. The region's folk heritage includes boards, Gondhals, Lavanis-(Lavani or Lavni is all about how much emotion your face can propagate into. Mastery is different in this dance form and is Maharashtra's cherished factors which are disappearing rapidly.) Shahiris and Powada. Sharang Dev, a 13th-century composer, was from Maharashtra as well.
