Tulsi Vivah Celebrated by GHRCE Nagpur & CVRGU Bhubaneshwar under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Campaign of AICTE
Tulsi vivah, the ceremonial marriage of Tulsi plant (holy basil) to God Vishnu is performed in Kartik month of the Hindu calendar. Also known as Tulasi Kalyanam, this Hindu festival commemorates the ceremonial wedding of the Goddess Tulsi with Lord Vishnu or his incarnation. It is celebrated on November 13, 2022, Tulsi marriage in Hindu religion is very important. It is believed that auspicious marriages begin in Hinduism only after this marriage. Shukla Paksha of Kartik month comes after Ekadashi. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Club of G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur has gathered images depicting various Tulsi Vivah celebrations.The program was conducted in consideration with EBSB clubs of the paired state institution, G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur & C V Raman Global University, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. Pictures of the celebration of the Tulsi Vivah at each member's residence were sent by GHRCE and CVRGU. Additionally, Mr. Arpit Dalal and Mr. Atharv Pande created a poster displaying facts about Tulsi Vivah. At the end of program Dr. Mangesh Bhorkar GHRCE & Prof. Rahul Barman, CVRGU addressed the audience. The program was well organized by Dr. Mangesh Bhorkar EBSB Nodal officer & NSS Program Officer GHRCE under the able guidance of Dr. Sachin Untawale Chief Executive Officer RGI & Director GHRCE Nagpur. |
