International Mathribhasha Diwas
The International Mathribhasha Diwas was observed on 21st February celebrating our multilingual heritage. Mast.Rayan pointed out that the theme for this year reflected the spirit of“Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” . He also pointed out the necessity of protecting our language, culture and identity .Mast.Narayanan delivered his speech citing how the modern society is slightly sliding away from the use of mother language and is embracing foreign cultures. He pointed out that these was because of the lack of proper knowledge among the new generation. He stressed on the need for the enlightenment of the students of this generation on our vibrant culture. Mast.Aswin hosted a quiz on “Mathrubhasha Diwas” that focused on the linguistic diversity of our nation and various movements throughout the world. Kum.Esha and Kum.Sreenanda of Class VI emphasized on how essential, the role of mother language was in the development of someone’s personality and how the mother language plays an important role right from the beginning by reciting a poem. The activities glorifying the mother tongue were conducted as part of the celebration during the Morning Assembly |
