Preparation and Descriptive Writing on traditional dish of Assam and Inter - house Hindi Debate Competition
Under the EBSB programme, cadets of grade VII prepared traditional dish of Assam. This activity made them aware of Assamese cuisine which is characterised by little use of spices, cooking over fire and strong flavours due to the use of fruits and vegetables that are fresh, dried or fermented. The popular dishes of the state are Khaar, Masor Tenga, Aloo Pitika, Narikul Laru, Goor Ka Pitha etc. The cadets were given one week to prepare the dishes of their choice and make videos and write a descriptive paragraph on the same topic. Cadet Tejas Choudhary, Cadet Ravee Jhakar, and Cadet Yogesh Yadav secured the first, second and third position respectively. The Inter -House Hindi debate competition was held on 29 July 22 in the SM auditorium at 1000h.Cadets from class IX to XII participated in the competition. There were sixteen participants, and each team comprised of two cadets from the same house. Cadet Prashyant Singh, Cadet Bhupendra Yadav and Cadet Yash Choudhary bagged the first, second and third position respectively. |
