Harghar Tiranga Awareness: Prabhat Pheri, Nukkad Natak, Children Cultural Programme, Quiz
AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV CELEBRATION AT NITIE MUMBAI Har Ghar Tiranga...Ghar Ghar Tiranga... Under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" and to inspire patriotism, NITIE Mumbai began fortnight celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of India's Independence. A report to present our enthusiasm and salute to the tricolor, the symbol of collective pride & Unity. Think India’s Street Play on देश हमे देता हैं सब कुछ, हम भी तो कुछ देना सीखे Think India, NITIE shared the message by organizing a street play depicting the chronological historical events of India's division and the panic faced during the country's partition. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Events at NITIE Awareness Campaign Celebrations of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign began with awareness programmes. NITIE Students visited campus residents to inform them about the sensitivity needed for hoisting the flags at home. In addition, videos issued by the Ministry of Education through the Har Ghar Tiranga website were shown to more than 90 campus residents. Prabhat Pheri The Prabhat Pheri started at Taylor Hall, Hostel and ended at ALB. Holding with pride the tricolour and wearing aspirations of our proud Nation, faculty members, officers, staff, and students of NITIE created patriotic vibes and took the spirit of national integrity to the pinnacle. Prabhat Pheri, in so many ways, enticed the campus residents to hoist the national flag at their residences, enabling them to redefine their relations with "Har Ghar Tiranga". Thespian Team Nukkad Natak on “आज़ादी के मायने” Team 'Thespians' performed Nukkad Natak on the theme of India's Youth-changing attitude towards the Nation. The drama conveyed the thoughts of the youth on India's independence and left the audience bound to reflect on the true meanings of independence. NITIE Staff Club Children's Performance The patriotic fervor was no less in our neo-generation. Twenty children from campus brilliantly rocked the stage with their performance splendidly choreographed by Ms Divyani Patel. Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, NITIE, Prof. Vivekananda Khanapuri, Dean (SRIC), and Prof. Rauf Iqbal, Dean (Student Affairs), reciprocated the enthusiasm of the young ones with goodies. Quiz on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Team Impact organized the quiz on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. A total of 58 teams participated in the event, among which 28 qualified for the second round. Finally, six teams emerged for the final round. Team Shaurya Mayank Deep, Shrayesht Gupta, Mohit Passi, students of PGDIE-51won the first prize of Rs. 4000/- while Team Indo-Pacific Mr Akash Nangal, Mr Ayush Suman, and Mr Abhinav Tiwary, students of PGDIM-28 were the runner ups. Prof. Rauf Iqbal, Dean (Student Affairs) and Prof. Nikhil K Mehta, Coordinator- Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat, gave away the prizes. The overall program was coordinated by the team of Prof. Nikhil Mehta (Coordinator-Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat); Prof. Vipul Singh-Chief Warden; Prof. Ajay Panda (Warden), Prof. Hema Diwan (Warden), Prof. Vidyadhar Gedam-Warden, Prof. K.S. Ranjani, Coordinator-Think India, and Ms Nisha Singh, Assistant Registrar, along with Mr Nitin Raj, Mr Abhijeet Kumar, and Mr Shubham Ugade, Student VPs of PGDIE, PGDIM and PGDSM respectively. We thank Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director, NITIE, Mumbai; Prof. Vivekananda Khanapuri (Dean SRIC); Prof. Rauf Iqbal (Dean Students Affair), and Prof. Utpal Chattopadhyay (Associate Dean), Dr Basavaraj Swamy, Registrar, NITIE for their guidance and support. Independence Day Marathon NITIE, Mumbai has organized a marathon in campus to mark the celebration of 75 years of India's Independence. An event to present our enthusiasm and salute to the tricolor, the symbol of collective pride & Unity. The event witnessed a huge participation from faculty members, officers, staff, children's and students of NITIE. A lap of length 1.4 km. was identified within the NITIE Campus and 80+ participants ran the marathon in multiple laps of the track across 11 different categories. Top 3 candidates from each category were awarded medals and certificates. We thank Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director, NITIE, Mumbai for his valuable guidance and support. Post August 15, 2022, programmes NITIE, Mumbai shall organize COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav camp on August 24, 2022, from10:00AM onwards in association with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Medical team led by Dr Smruti Patel, M.O., NITIE along with the team launched a campaign for enumerating number of eligible adult population. NITIE team encouraged all eligible campus residents to take free precautionary doses. Awareness Programme NITIE, Mumbai is conducting awareness programme with its campus residents for keeping the flag safe at their own home.
