Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN), with its paired institute IIITDM Kurnool has conducted Swachhta Pakhwada and celebrated the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Swachhta Pakhwada conducted from 20th September to 2nd October and during this some activities are conducted to make the awareness of cleanness amongst the students, staff members and other connected peoples. A program on Swachhta Pledge conducted with students.At the same time Plantation Drive and Essay Competition organised by the respective institutes combinely at their places.

This event was organized virtually on 25th September 2021 at 03:00 pm on WebEx platform. The main objective of this session was to know about the Festivals of Odisha and Maharashtra. Both the teams exchanged the information about their various festival which are only celebrate within the state itself and the festival which were least known by the other state.

Water pollution is a serious problem in India as almost 70 per cent of its surface water resources and a growing percentage of its groundwater reserves are contaminated by biological, toxic, organic, and inorganic pollutants. In many cases, these sources have been rendered unsafe for human consumption as well as for other activities, such as irrigation and industrial needs. Th is shows that degraded water quality can contribute to water scarcity as it limits its availability for both human use and for the ecosystem. To address this serious issue, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN), organized a poster competition with the paired institute IIITDM Kurnool on the theme of “Innovative ideas to reduce water pollution in the country”. Total 43 students from both the institute has participated in the competition.

As per the Initiatives of Ministry of Human Resource -Development and AICTE, Thakur College of Engineering and Technology started to conduct Student exchange programs. NIP Debate Competition was held on 18th September, 2021 for partner colleges along with host college TCET. The debate competition was proposed for 2 tracks: Technical and Non-Technical. The event envisioned to provide a platform where participants could think critically and analyze each and every aspect of the concerned topic and learn in-depth by mutual contributions to recognize strengths and weaknesses by presenting their arguments thereby, enhancing communication skills and dissolving stage fear. Also, the purpose was to learn the culture, living styles, social customs and such other aspects of the social and cultural affairs of each other’s institute along with learning soft skills and technical skills.
