To promote a sustained and structured cultural connect in the areas of culture, traditions & music under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Programme, the folk singers and dancers of the paired state (Rajasthan) sponsored by SPIC MACAY thrilled the cadets with their famous folk dances such as Kalbeliya and Bhavai on 23 Dec 2021. Through introduction, the cadets were made aware of Kalbeliya tribe of Rajasthan. They came to know about their traditional occupation of snake catching. The dance movements and the costumes bearing a close resemblance to those of the serpents mesmerized the audience. The suspenseful Bhavai dance involving the well skilled female dancer balancing many earthen pitchers on her head and dancing simultaneously held the audience spellbound. The artists also captivated the audience by playing famous Rajasthani folk musical instruments - Morchang, Khartal and Alghoza. The event created awareness about the cultural diversity and promoted national integration. It also enabled the cadets to understand and appreciate the varied culture of people across the country.

On the occasion of conclusion of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) event for the year 2021, the cadets were briefed about the significance and importance of the activities conducted throughout the year. The conducted activities have helped the cadets to enhance their understanding the best practices being followed in the partner state. On this occasion, speeches were delivered by the cadets on various facets of partner state such as traditional dishes, life style, festivals, cultural heritage, facts, history, tourism etc. These activities truly acted as a means to appreciate the idea of ‘Unity in Diversity’ and will go a long way to promote a sense of National Integrity among the cadets

Under the EBSB programme, cadets of grade VIII prepared ethnic cuisine of Assam in their respective homes. This activity made them aware of Assamese cuisine which is characterised by little use of spices, cooking over fire and strong flavours due to the use of fruits and vegetables that are fresh, dried or fermented. The popular dishes of the state are Khaar, Masor Tenga, Aloo Pitika etc. The cadets were given one week to prepare the dishes of their choice and make videos/ take pictures of the same. Concluding Ceremony of EBSB (2021-22) was organized virtually on 17th December, 2021. A power point presentation was given by the cadets of grade XII. The presentation showcased the aim of the programme and all the events conducted in phase I (Four activities), phase II (Three activities) and phase III (Seven activities) from the month of April to December, 2021. The cadets who secured positions in different activities were awarded certificates.

Different programme being organised to promote art, culture, dance and music etc . Traditional dances and songs which will strengthen the ties between the citizens of two states. Life does not only mean joy and happiness. Trial, troubles, struggles, wars etc. are part and parcel of life. So, we must have a free society, where there is no struggle, no fear and no war. If we are together inspite of all differences, our country will achieve strong bond of unity. The well being of society means the well being of individuals. So everyone should be together to enjoy beautiful country side. Our combined effort will knock the doors of success. We are fortunate that through the celebration ofEk Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Parv, our cadets got a Golden chance to gain knowledge about the identification and preparation of state specific cultural programme : Performances by local as well as SPIC - MACY artists under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat -like Dramatisation of prominent war stories , patriotic songs dances etc of Odisha and Maharastra (Satara) . The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative was announced by the Honble Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi on 31st October 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. As a part of EBSB 2021 Mahotsav towards traditional exchange of culture and information with partner school, the school organised an award ceremony event on 10 December 2021.
