St. Thomas College of Teacher Education Pala Report - EBSB Club Activity, January 2022 The students of English Education (B.Ed. Juniors) presented a stage programme on Himachal Pradesh. It threw a glimpse on the life and culture of the people of Himmachal Pradesh. The programme consisted of : a slide presentation on Himachal Pradesh, a folk dance, a group song in Pahari language, a quiz on Himachal Pradesh. The programme was an exciting experience to all.

: National Youth Day ( 12.01.2022) National Youth Day on January 12 was celebrated to honour the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, one of India’s greatest spiritual and social leaders by paying a floral tribute . The Vidyalaya also organised Essay Writing and Poster Making Contest to empower young minds. Unity Run was organised within the campus with students raising the slogans and quotes of Swami Vivekananda.

: KALA UTSAV (10.01.2022) Kala Utsav is an initiative of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under SSA Scheme to promote arts in education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students at the secondary stage in the country . One of our students, Mast.Rahul of Class: XII got selected to perform Online Live Classical Dance ( Male) at the National Level Competition under the guidance of Smt, Sindhu, Music teacher – Kala Utsav whose main objective is to provide opportunities to understand and celebrate the cultural diversity of paired state at district, state & national level.

An online presentation was organized on the Theme – Street food Culture of Gujarat&Tourismunder the EBSB programme. The meeting started with the discussion and making the students aware about the concept and background of EBSB programme, followed by the presentation of the famous street food dishes consumed during different meal timings and food eating habitsof people of Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. The activity was found satisfactory.

Mera Gaon Meri Dharohar- ( January 2022) In connection with Mera Gaon Meri Dharohar, as part of Azadi ka Amrith Mahotsav, One School One Project was taken up in the month of January on the topic ”Historical monuments of Palakkad- Palakkad Fort” under the guidance of Smt.Smitha,PGT English. Kum.Athulya P M, Kum.Liya Jomy , Kum.Gagana, Mast.Namit and Mast.Nandhu Pradeep of Class:XI participated and completed the project on 19.01.2022. 2. Virtual Assembly on Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav: (21.01.2022) As part of Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav, Virtual Assembly was held on 20.01.2022. The speeches of two students, Kum.
