1st May is very well known as a Maharashtra Din. On this date Maharashtra got divided from Bombay Province in the year 1960. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Cell of G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur has conducted an online program based on Maharashtra Din on 1st May 2021. The program was conducted in consideration with EBSB cell of the paired state institution, C V Raman Global University, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. The program started with anchoring of Ms. Anisha Kahirkar EBSB student coordinator GHRCE & introduction by Mr. Atharwa Bhalerao. Then Mr. Sajid Hussain from GHRCE narrated the history of Maharashtra. Mr. Ritvik Walde from GHRCE had given information on language & attire of Maharashtra. Ms. Pooja Madankar & Ms. Shital Punde (GHRCE) delivered the information regarding dance, festival & cuisine of Maharashtra respectively. Total 35 students & 4 faculty members from both institutes were joined for this program virtually. At the end of program Prof. Mangesh Bhorkar GHRCE & Prof. Kalinga Bal CVRGU addressed the gathering and given wishes of Maharshtra Day. The program was well organized by Prof. Mangesh Bhorkar EBSB Nodal officer under the able guidance of Dr. Sachin Untawale Chief Executive Officer RGI & Director GHRCE Nagpur and Dr. O. S. Bihade Executive Director RGI.

Jal Shakti Abhiyan campaign is run by Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Govt. of India. The theme of Jal Shakti Abhiyan is ‘Catch the Rain, where it falls, when it falls’. A small effort to make this campaign successful, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Cell (EBSB) of G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur Maharashtra by conducting one hour symposium with the paired institute C V Raman Global University Bhubaneshwar Odisha on 1st May 2021. In view of pandemic situation of COVID 19, this program was taken through online platform. In this program the importance of saving water & its conservation mentioned by students of EBSB cell. The program was anchored by Ms. Anisha Khairkar. She also given the preamble of the symposium. The facts and problems of water scarcity were delivered by Ms. Triveni Kalambe GHRCE. The solutions to overcome this water scarcity problems were discussed by Mr. Sajid Hussain. Then Prof. Mangesh Bhorkar, GHRCE addressed the gathering and said the necessity of water saving and conservation. Prof. Kalinga Rao, Dr. Rahul Barman, Dr. Anup Kundu from CVRGU were present for this program. Total 35 students from both institute were present for this program. After this symposium an online ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan Quiz’ was taken to make aware students of GHRCE & CVRGU. Total 103 students given this quiz and taken advantage. This activity was well coordinated by Ms. Anisha Khairkar EBSB student coordinator in coordination with Prof. Mangesh Bhorkar EBSB Nodal Officer GHRCE under the guidance of Dr. Sachin Untawale Chief Executive Officer RGI & Director GHRCE Nagpur and Dr. O. S. Bihade Executive Director RGI.

As per message from our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi “यह अभियान ग्रामीण और शहरी दोनों क्षेत्रों में चलाया जाएगा. इसका उद्देश्य बारिश के पानी का संचय करना है. 22 मार्च 2021 से 30 नवंबर 2021 तक पूरे देश में मॉनसून से पहले और मॉनसून के दौरान यह अभियान चलाया जाएगा. जिसमें लोगों की भागीदारी के जरिए जमीनी स्तर पर जल संरक्षण लिए आंदोलन के रूप में इसे शुरू किया जाएगा”. Under the theme “Jal Shakti Abhiyan” Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat (EBSB) committee organized poem creation “Create a poem inspired by nature on Saving of Water” thus by motivation all the young generation to save water. We encourage our students to write a creative poem inspired by nature on saving of water. They can express your thoughts in any language but poem must be Relevance to the theme - Creativity/Style and Originality -
