Vishu Celebration
Description Vishu Celebration ( 15.04.2022) Vishu, celebrated in the state of Kerala marks the beginning of a New Year, new hopes and aspirations. A Vishu Kani was set by the students in their respective Houses under the guidance of their respective House masters. In an informal address, the Incharge Principal Smt.Vijayakumari, PGT History spoke briefly about April 14 being auspicious and historic days across India for various reasons. It is celebrated as 'Puthandu' in Tamil Nadu, Baisakhi in Punjab, Bihu in Assam, Pana Sankranthi in Odisha and Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra. She also stated that all these were Harvest festivals and how people celebrate their native cultural uniqueness. It was soon followed by a customarily prepared Sadhya at noon. |
