One day workshop on "Basics of Badminton"
Department of Physical Education & Sports in collaboration with EBSB Club, Govt. Degree College Vailoo Larnoo conducted a one day workshop on Basic Skills of Badminton under the banner of AZADI KA AMRIT MAHAUTSAV (India @75) on 12/08/2021 to celebrate India’s Bronze Medal in recently held Tokyo Olympics. Firdose Ahmad Mir, Head Department of EVS and Rouf Ahmad Malik, Head Department of Economics graced the occasion as guests. Raof Ahmad Bhat, Head Department of Physical Education & Sports welcomed the guests and participants and highlighted the importance of organizing such events as they can be helpful in channelizing surplus energy of youth in a positive way. He also stressed that conducting such workshops is a way forward to give vent to hidden talent among college student community. Participants of both genders from different semesters of the college participated in the event. The workshop focused on basic skills such as grip, stance, service rules, fouls in badminton, and dimensions of badminton court and concluded with vote of thanks by Rouf Ahmad Malik by thanking participants who participated in the event with zeal and enthasusim |
