Following activities were conducted for the month of august under 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' programme: Literary Fest was celebrated in the month of august wherein an Extempore speech was organized for the cadets of class X. The cadets spoke about their experience of being a part of the EBSB programme and the knowledge they gained about the partner state through various activities. Letter writing was conducted for cadets of class IX. The cadets penned down their feelings and learning that they acquired about the state of Kerala. The pictures of the activities are shared herewith.

Two activities named "Literacy fest" including extempore speech & other competition and Letter writing exercise for junior cadets were conducted under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. 1) Activities (a) Literacy Fest including Extempore speech and other competition were conducted on 26 th of August 2022. The cadets participated in the competition representing their respective houses. They presented their views on the respective topic assigned to them in Extempore speech competition.They participated with great zeal and interest. 2) Activities (b) Letter writing exercise by junior cadets were conducted for class VI cadets. The activity was conducted on 30th of August 2022. It was conducted in the lecture theatre of the sainik school jhunjhunu. For this activity the cadets were shown some videos and powerpoint slides related to Bihar, which included of it's rich diversed history, culture and their traditional practice. This supported to develop their understanding about the partner state bihar.In this activity the cadets wrote the letter to their parents in English expressing their knowledge about the partner state Bihar.

1. Quiz competition on Partner State Haryana's literacy and poetry Sainik School Kalikiri conducts various activities every month as part of the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme to promote national integration and appreciation of Indian art and culture among the cadets. These activities also help the cadets to aware of the rich cultural heritage of the country and also develop the feeling of admiration and respect for the cultures of a different state. As a part of that, a Quiz Competition on Haryana's literacy and poetry was conducted offline for the cadets of classes 9th to 10th on 27 August 2022. The sole aim of this competition was to expose, sensitize and aware the cadets about the literacy fest (folk tales, popular authors & who is who in Haryana) partner State Haryana. The competition was well received by the cadets, and they actively participated in the quiz competition. 2. Debate competition on Partner State Haryana As a part of the ongoing Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme, cadets of classes IX and X participated in the Debate Competition held on 27 August 2022. After referring to the books and other sources, all the cadets actively participated in the debate competition. The debate topic highlighted the Haryana Traditions, Art, Historical Monuments, Dressing Styles, Painting, Handicrafts, Culture, Flora, Fauna, and historical major tourist places. 3. Letter writing exercise by Jr cadets (class VI to IX) to their parents in English/ Hindi/Regional language, expressing knowledge about the Haryana state. As part of the ongoing Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme, cadets of classes VI & IX participated and they were asked to write postcards to their parents about Haryana state. The cadets explained to their parents about Haryana tradition, Art, Historical Monuments, festivals, Dressing Styles, Painting, Handicrafts, culture, Flora, Fauna, and Major tourist places. All the cadets have enthusiastically participated in this activity of learning about the partner State Haryana and derived much benefit out of it. The Principal, Gp Capt CS Pardesi appreciated the cadets for taking an active part in the competition and advised them to continue learning more about the partner state by participating in all the forthcoming events as well. He also told the cadets that the programme indeed acts as a link between the two states' Sainik Schools to understand the significance of the history, culture, language and tradition of both states. Finally, he said that India is blessed with a rich culture and heritage, and the richness and variety of its culture need to be preserved for future generations.

Different types of competition was organized on the occasion of Literary fest EBSB like quiz competition Hindi and English Debate competition to inspire the school cadets towards "EK BHARAT SHRASTHA BHARAT" The "Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat" Programme,aims to actively enhance interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different States and UT's in India, with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them.As per the programme, each year, every State/UT would be paired with another State/UT in India for reciprocal interaction between the people. It is envisaged through this exchange, that the knowledge of the language, culture, traditions and practices of different states will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between one another, thereby strengthening the unity & integrity of India.

Under the EBSB programme, cadets of grade XII participated in the ˜Literary fest" and grade VII in the ˜Letter writing activity. In the Literary fest, which was organized on 25 Aug 22 cadets delivered speech and recited poem on our partner state, Assam. In the speech delivered by cadets, they glorified the ˜Amazon of the East" highlighting its beauty and importance, emphasized on the pivotal role of tea estates and silk industry in the growth of the state, and appreciated the culture and traditions of Assam. The cadets also recited poems appreciating the magnificence of Assam and about the plight of Assamese when many areas are deeply affected by flooding from the Brahmaputra and other riversduring the monsoon.The Letter writing activity was conducted on 17 Aug 22 wherein cadets of grades VI-IX participated. Before the activity, language teachers in their respective classes gave a brief introduction of Assam. The cadets wrote letters to their parents in English and Hindi language disseminating knowledge about the ˜Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat" programme and about the location, history, important tourist places, festivals, staple diet etc. of Assam.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat EBSB program is an important means of imparting cultural awareness and training to the students at national level an active participation of partner schools on reciprocal basis, helps promote knowledge about each other states in a comprehensive manner. Keeping the theme of Literacy Fest to explore and know more and more about great and Incredible India. On 16th August 2022 under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) program Sainik School Bijapur organised the scheduled activity for the month of August that is Quiz Competition Partner State Uttarakhand. After completion of the above program a Letter Writing exercise by Junior Cadets (class VI to IX) to their Parents in English/Hindi /Regional Language, expressing knowledge about Partner State Uttarakhand conducted. A total of 624 cadets took part in this activity and enlightened about the ethnic cuisine of the Uttarakhand state.
