Tribe kind is also mentioned. Sixty-seven percent of Manipur's land area is covered in forested hill tracts, which are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. Depending on the height of the hill ranges, the climate ranges from tropical to sub-alpine. There are wet woods and pine forests between 900 and 2700 metres above mean sea level, which support a variety of rare and endemic plant and animal species. Orchids are prized all over the world for being among the most exquisite and valuable flowers, and they exude mystery and exoticism. They are plentiful in Manipur, growing on the ground or on shrubs and trees, displaying their beauty and colour and surprising the unaccustomed eye.
